I’m back! The Husband and I spent last week in Paris and London and what a great time we had! I’ve probably never walked so much in my life but all the exhaustion and sore legs were worth it. Since we were only in each city for a few days, we packed in as much as we could. The unfortunate riots happening in and around London are terrible, but fortunately for us, the main city areas were not affected and there was a huge police presence that made us feel safe in case anything was to happen.
First up – Paris.
The City of Light is great for strolling around and discovering different neighborhoods. Although you may think these photos were taken in October, we really did visit in August. I didn’t mind a break from the NY heat though. Some highlights for me included:
Seeing the Eiffel Tower for the first time and getting to go up the tower, overlooking the entire city.
Climbing up to Sacre Coeur for another unbelievable view of the city.
Walking around the Louvre and the surrounding area. I had no idea how massive the museum was until I saw it in person.
Taking a trip to Versailles. Although I must say, touring the palace is complete chaos, getting to walk through the Hall of Mirrors is a pretty memorable experience.
Notre Dame – almost can’t believe it’s been around since the 12th century – amazing.
The Eiffel Tower at night. Enough said.
Next up – the little touches that really made Paris a great city to visit!
