“Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking. Don’t settle. As with all matters of the heart, you’ll know when you find it. And, like any great relationship, it just gets better and better as the years roll on. So keep looking until you find it. Don’t settle.” – Steve Jobs
I know there are a million other people writing about the passing of Steve Jobs today. And to be honest, I can’t say I knew much about him. But I just had to post this quote of his because it really does hit home for me. I’ve always loved to write, and I’d like to think I’m fairly good at it. I work in a field where I write a lot and people seem to like what I do.
So to personally fulfill myself more, I started this blog as a place where I can come and write what I like – and maybe someone else may see it and like it too. This quote helps to inspire me to keep doing this and to keep going. I have some lofty ideas tucked in the back of my head – I’ll know when the time is right to try to bring them to fruition. 🙂
