Channeling Chanel

I’ve just finished a great book titled The Secret of Chanel #5, The Intimate History of the World’s Most Famous Perfume by Tilar J. Mazzeo.

It’s a look into the life of Coco Chanel and how her famous signature fragrance came to be.  There was some information I already knew about Coco’s life but also a lot that I didn’t such as the selling of the rights to the scent, its overly mass-marketed times in the mid-20th century and Coco’s fallout with the other owners of the perfume company.  It’s really a great read if you’re interested in the woman and her iconic scent.
