I was always a fan of Domino magazine. It wasn’t too fussy or grand and it felt like the designs and items in its pages were fairly accessible.
Then unfortunately, like many of the design books, Domino ceased to be. And I feel the shelter magazine category was left with a void. So now I’m looking forward to picking up a copy of The Perfectly Imperfect Home: How to Decorate and Live Well by Deborah Needleman.
Domino’s former Editor-in-Chief takes the reader through different ways in how to make your house a home, and uses lively and quirky illustrations to help do so. I think this book would look great on a living room coffee table and would also make a great gift for the holidays.
And if you have a chance, check out the November issue of Martha Stewart Living to see more of Deborah’s tips for living in a space you love.
