Instagram in Real Life

ImageI really do like Instagram. It’s fun to take photos of your surroundings and anything you’re fancying at that particular moment and share it with the world. I also like that Instagram allows me to pretend that I’m a top artistic photographer, playing around with filters to make my photos look even better.

I’m a huge proponent of printing my pictures. Call me old-fashioned but I love to look back on photo albums. I’m currently filling my first album dedicated to Lady M and I’m sure I’ve printed an overabundance of pictures already. So I want to be able to do something with all of my funky Instagram pics.

That’s where Kanvess comes in. This site allows you to print out your Instagram photos for 25 cents each. There’s no minimum order and the shipping is very reasonable. The pics are printed in a 3 inch square. One of my next DIY projects is creating a heart utilizing some of my favorite Instagram photos.

Monday Morning Gossip

Today I’m linking up with Leeann from Join the Gossip for her new link up – Monday Morning Gossip. It’s a place to share past weekend plans and any other things you may be excited about in the coming week.

My past weekend was a fun and busy one. Friday night I had a girls dinner and then went to an engagement party on Saturday. Yesterday, I went into NYC to meet up with a friend at City Bakery’s Hot Chocolate Festival.

I also viewed a cool exhibit celebrating the 100th anniversary of Grand Central station. If you’re in the NYC area I encourage you to check it out.

Dinner w/friends

Tonight I’m going out to dinner to catch up with some girls. Should be a fun time!

Engagement party

We’re celebrating the engagement of our friends tomorrow night with a party at a restaurant I’ve been wanting to try for a while. Perfect excuse to do so!

Hot chocolate festival

Concert

My orchestra’s concert is this Sunday. Although I’m not playing in this concert, I’d thought I’d go and  be an audience member for a change. I’ll be back to play the next concert in April!

Zumba

I haven’t done this in so long! My local Equinox gym is holding a complimentary class for new moms. Perfect to ease me back into cardio workouts! And good to tide me over until my Crunch gym opens.

Time to Throw a Party!

Lady M’s baptism is coming up in May and its got me thinking about party decor. We’re having a small lunch for immediate family, but that doesn’t mean it can’t be festive.

We’ll be 12 people total, and will be having a late lunch plus a sweets table. Since it will be in the Spring, I’m thinking of doing light colors – probably white, silver and gold with a touch of pink. I’ve been finding some good inspiration from the following images. Can’t wait to implement it all. 🙂

Work it Out

Now that I’m over 7 weeks from giving birth, it’s time to get serious about working out. I have to say, I did luck out a bit and I’m just about at my pre-pregnancy weight…but not quite. I still would like to lose about 10 pounds and my main focus is to tone my thighs and backside as my jeans are not quite fitting as well as I’d like.

I joined a new gym by me but since it’s so new, it’s not open yet. So right now the On Demand channel is my friend and I’m doing different workouts each day  – yoga, pilates, strength and core work, etc. I got Tracy Anderson’s Post-Pregnancy DVD from the library the other day and it’s pretty good too.

There’s more focus on ab work than anything else, but I do like it and will keep at it throughout the week.

I’m trying not to obsess, I just want my jeans to fit better!  🙂  Do you have any favorite workouts that you recommend?
