Easter is almost here. We’re fortunate enough to have 2 celebrations this year!
First up, an early Easter at my parents home. We had the traditional ham and all the festive trimmings that come with it.
And of course Lady M wore bunny ears and a frilly, pink Easter outfit. At least she’ll get to wear it twice!
Next up, we’re spending Easter Sunday at the home of my sister-in-law’s sister. I’m making Anginetti cookies for dessert. Hopefully they come out like I’m envisioning them to – looking like pretty pastel Easter eggs. I’ll share pictures on Monday! I’m also getting some treats together for the kids and making an Easter basket for Lady M.
Happy Easter and have a wonderful weekend!
Happy Friday! We’re nearing the weekend once again and I for one couldn’t be happier! This week I’m looking forward to the following:
This is the first movie my parents took me to see when I was tiny. I’ve loved it ever since and sang along to the Broadway album as a kid. But I never had the chance to see it live, until tomorrow. After some not-so-subtle hinting on my part, The Husband bought tickets to the Broadway production for Christmas and the show is tomorrow!
I haven’t had a massage since before I was pregnant – in other words, way too long! I’m finally getting one this week – another A+ Christmas gift from The Husband.
Even though Easter is next weekend, we’re doing an early celebration during the week with my parents as we’ll be at my sister-in-law’s sister’s house on Easter. At least Lady M will get a couple of wears out of her ridiculously cute Easter outfit!
OK – I’m not enamored with the act of baking, but I’m making Anginetti cookies for Easter and they’re one of my favorite cookies. For those of you not familiar with them, you can find my recipe here (it’s actually my great-aunt’s recipe). And they even look like little Easter eggs!
The Husband is off next week so I’m looking forward to some quality time – both as partners and as a family.
Have a great weekend!

I just heard that H&M is introducing a home collection in the US. The European market has had one since 2009.
I think it’s a great idea to translate the affordability of H&M into home goods. Also, because their items are so inexpensive, they’re perfect for adding seasonal, on-trend touches to your home decor scheme. Easy to add in, change out and everything in between.
These are some looks from past seasons in Europe. The bright pops of color are perfect for adding some Spring touches into your decor!
I love the bright starry bedding set for a little girl’s room!
This pillow has a slight shimmer to make it a little extra-special and give a well-worn sofa a new life.
Hoping the collection makes its US debut soon!

Today I’m linking up with Leeann from Join the Gossip again for Monday Morning Gossip. Come join us!
I had a busy but fun weekend and the coming week is looking to shape up similarly. On Saturday friends of ours came over to meet our baby and then we went out to my in-laws that night for a small party. My parents came over on Sunday and we had a great time.
This week I’m taking a new workout class, meeting to discuss my Junior League’s Spring fundraiser, going to my weekly orchestra rehearsal and a brunch/fashion show sponsored by the League. On top of that, I have many writing assignments to complete. I’m definitely not complaining, I just need to find a way to fit it all in!
And the most important part of my week – today Lady M is three months old! I can’t believe it.
The past three months have had their challenges, sleepless nights, etc., but it’s been an amazing ride so far and I can’t wait for more!
Have you heard of Tiffany & Co’s What Makes Love True website? It’s a site dedicated to love stories, photos and places. They have asked visitors to participate by sharing their own pictures, and mine was chosen to be featured on the site!
You can send yours in too by going here.
Good luck and happy Friday!
I can feel it – Spring is in the air! Even though we are supposed to get snow today, but that’s another story. I am choosing to look ahead to the warmer weather and all of the activities I’m looking forward to including taking Lady M on some outdoor activities, walks in NYC and outdoor brunches.
I am also looking forward to Spring fashions, as I won’t be in maternity clothes this year! Here are some of the items I’m hoping will become new staples in my wardrobe:
This dress from Banana Republic has a fun graphic pattern in bright colors. It would look perfect with a pair of green pumps in my closet!
I’m always on the hunt for new sandals and this Tildon pair are fancy enough for night, but the wedge makes them casual enough for the day. You can pair them with so many types of outfits.
Liberty of London always has fun, colorful floral prints and they have now teamed up for a collection with J. Crew. This skirt’s bright pops of color makes me long for warm, sunny days.
What are you looking forward to this Spring?
